School Sports Day

The whole school took to the GAA field for our Sports Day on Tuesday 27th. The crossed fingers and prayers paid off, as the sun shone down on us all day long. Between the bouncy castles, obstacle course, races, soccer games, crossbar challenges and visit from the ice-cream van, there were a lot of tired (but happy) children going home from Cappagh N.S. on Tuesday evening. A great day was had by all! Thanks to the GAA club for the use of the pitch and to 'Crazy Castles' for the bouncy castles.

Cake Sale for Bóthar

On Friday June 2nd the boys and girls of Mrs. O Donoghue's class organised a cake sale in support of our Bóthar fund. We are fundraising to send an in-calf heifer to a needy family in Africa. The amazing sum of €895 was collected at the bake sale. Many thanks to all those involved and particularly to the parents and grandparents who both supplied and bought the food. 'Ní neart go cur le chéile.'

Well done Jake!

A huge congratulations from all of us here at Cappagh N.S. to our dancing superstar, Jake O'Brien! Jake (Third Class) travelled to Alicante in Spain, where he danced his socks off to become the U10 European Irish dancing champion! We are all so proud of you, Jake. Keep up the hard work and serious dedication.
