Grandparents' Day
On Wednesday, January 29th, the staff and pupils of St. James' National School, Cappagh, celebrated Grandparents Day as part of Catholic Schools Week. The day began with a special mass in the local parish church, lead by Fr. Boyce. The children performed songs and poems, read readings and said prayers of the faithful. This was followed by refreshments in the school hall where the children had an opportunity to spend time with their special guests. The children also presented their grandparents with artwork they had competed for them. We had a superb turn out of grandparents and a fantastic day was had by all.
